It works so get over it!

I've been putting this subject off mainly because I didn't know where to start so I started by saying "I've been putting this subject off".......... Medical Marijuana! It works! Having come of age during the the magical mystery tour of the 60's I got exposed to pot early. Like most of us Boomers I gave it up for kids, mortgages and wine..... I don't know why I gave it up maybe because it was not as easy to find and I really had no desire to go looking for it and of course then.....there was the wine! I've read that the US Navy used to grow Hemp to braid lines for boats.......... And what do you think the Indians smoked in their "Peace Pipe".......why did they call it a "Peace" pipe?.........Old Scottish folklore used to talk about Grandpa; sitting on the front porch, cutting off a piece of his "Hemp Rope Belt", putting it in his pipe and smoking it.............of course this was also about the same time the Locness Monster started showing up!!!!!!! Seriously, Marijuana is a naturally grown weed. It will grow just about anywhere but for some reason has to grow up in peoples closets or basements with a glow light and is then sold for astronomical amounts (about $400 per ounce). Once it's grown you can eat it, smoke it, snort it or rub into your belly button, it doesn't matter, it works! and you don't have to distill it it in order for it to work, how natural is that? Have you ever once heard of a bunch of people sitting around smoking pot..........and a big fight breaks out? No you haven't and you won't, it doesn't bring out aggression like alcohol and it's not additive...not any more than say, milk.....I like drinking a glass of milk, just about every day but I'm not going into withdrawal without it!! Same thing. Grass makes you feel calmer......and yes a little light headed......So it's fun even if you aren't on chemotherapy!!!...............But guess what?....If you are on chemotherapy this is what it does for you:........it gives you the munchies, an insatiable lust for food! Oreos and meatloaf, it doesn't matter!!! Of course, no chemo, and you'll get fat........but for someone that has no appetite!!......because of chemotherapy!.......... it's a Godsend. If you have aches and pains it will ease them and it makes your mood a little brighter......something that eludes you most of the time when you're in chemo. The big thing you hear about is that it cures nausea, well I've never experienced the nausea thing (could be a reason) and that was what I feared most.....yuck! nausea! Anyway I've heard that it works! So tell me what's wrong with that?????? OK, one minor little point...it's illegal (in this state) but why? In Colorado where it's legal to grow for medical purposes there is a young guy that is making a killing for himself and paying huge taxes to the state......guess what he did before? He grew it illegally and sold it to his friends! Is this a great country or what? Now, I also had a friend that left Atlanta to come back to Charlotte and smoked along the way........he ended up in Chattanooga so I don't recommend smoking and driving anymore than drinking and driving! But in the privacy of your own home? Why not? There is a local politician that tried to bamboozle his way into the Sheriffs office here.....that didn't work so he ran for the legislature and won......he seems to be a pretty despicable guy but I'm going to hold my nose and contact him because he is introducing legislation to allow medical marijuana int NC.......never in my wildest dreams did I think I would support anything he does but this is right, agree or not. it's right! I guess if you don't agree with my position....you're probably not on the list anyway! Please keep the prayers and spiritual thoughts coming it works and I do feel it! B.
