An in depth but light hearted account of my journey through Chemotherapy. It is informative for those who care about me but also for those who are experiencing or about to experience the treatment.

Yawn...It's that time again!
Seems fast doesn't it? You ought to feel it from here...it's whoooosh! time again! Well, the Good News keeps on coming! My PSA dropped another 75 points! I'm now at 161 which is down by 50%, a milestone my Doctor said....he was down right giddy and trust me he isn't the giddy type. Believe it or not I'm sitting in the chair right now (10:00 am/23rd) with an I/V in my arm "gettin' the goods". I've felt great since about last Friday. It feels good to feel somewhat normal and have taste...Yes!!! All that is fixin' to change but hey; it's working! I'm always conscious of how many people out there are in the same or worst shape than I am. If I ever forget all I have to do is look around the treatment room, hell, there people here with oxygen tanks! All the cancer food groups seem to be represented, breast, lung, brain and all the rest. It seems sad to me that this dreadful disease has not been cured. They seem to know so much about it and what makes it thrive, seems they could kill it. You learn the importance of good neighbors while in the treatment room; one time my neighbors were good old country folks and seemed nice as can be but they talked at a volume that made you think he was at the barn and she was in the house most of the time and that was how they communicated..LOUD. I had a neighbor that, poor guy, was getting a different kind of chemo than usual and was not taking it well.... he was moaning....I'm not making fun of his pain but whereas I've never heard a wolf make love it kinda sounded like that... and the guy was 5 feet from me for 4 hours. Today I have twin ladies in their late 40's I'd say, one being treated of course but the other, rightfully so as a twin, lookin' kinda nervous. Anyway, the one being treated is reading favorite Bible verses to the other. As you can imagine this place has no shortage of new born religious types... wonder how they were before?.... Is this like cramming for the final exam? Hey! I believe in God, may not be the one everyone else does but he/she has served me well and answered prayers. Now I can't buy the fact that a guy got swallowed by a whale for three days, got spit up and walked away, I mean come on.....I've read the Bible and think of it as an enhanced history book, written by many, translated by more and interpreted by Everybody! Oh Great! Now they're signing hymns........I think I liked the wolf guy better! I may post again by the weekend if not I'll do it on the flip side of the weekend with "Back from the dead 6"
