Anyway you look at it the news is good…..my PSA has dropped 22 points to 39…..only bad news
is that my ass is sittin' here getting treatment number 13!
My Doc just shakes his head and says “unbelievable”. No one in their practice has ever gone past 9 treatments and been able to tolerate the drug. As for me it is a question of “I can’t go on” or “I don't want to go on”…….well as I told him, I don’t want to go on…..but I can and will…..as I’ve said all along…..I intend to win this race!!!
These last few times I’ve felt relatively good by day 12 or 14 after treatment, have a few bad days in between but that gives me about a week of near (or new) normal.
I still get really tired, have sore feet and hands but Tylenol continues to help with that…….of course still no appetite!!! As of today I’m down to 178 lbs. that’s still only about 20 lbs lost in 9 months, and I wanted to lose 10 anyway, so I'm Good!!
And if I continue to have good numbers then 1 or two more times and I get to quit….and be really normal…..I’m fired up! I feel like the guy in the Matrix movies wiggling his fingers and indicating “come on!”
I spent this past weekend at a Lifeguard reunion in N. Myrtle Beach…..all those guys had gotten so old & fat they didn’t recognize me :>). Anyway, the 3 days of intense vitamin D (Sun) may have helped, may have to do it again……….once I sober up from this last time.
May God (whoever he or she is for you) bless you friends and family. The Spiritual Energy and Prayers have helped more than the drugs and I do so appreciate it!
Stay tuned for “Back From the Dead 13”. B.
I have both goosebumps and a smile as I read your post. What a positive boost for you, as you well deserve it. The sun is shining on you. Shannon
