Well I’ve certainly had worse news….my levels dropped 4 points and that is after a one week reprieve from the chemo. Of course the question to the Doc was…can I go off? can I go off?? Huh, Huh?.......No.
I guess, as in any war, the battle eventually gets down to hand to hand combat………….Let’s see what it’s got!
My doctor is the senior guy in a 3 office practice and has seen it all but he said he had never seen anything like my tolerance to this drug (Taxotere) he uses words like remarkable and unbelievable.
Makes we wonder if there is something in my blood chemistry that is different from most. Maybe it is something that would help others…..for a fee of course! I know how that sounds but like the Joker said in the last Batman movie “if you are really good at something never do it for free”.
The one week reprieve allowed me to spend a weekend with old college friends and we went to the South Carolina Vanderbilt game in Nashville. A wonderful time! Maybe that chemistry thing is alcohol related…Hmmm
As always I’m sitting here “Getting’ the Goods”. Number 16! Despite the good news I want to explore what else is out there….. I’m not talking about running down to Mexico for coffee enemas like (my hero) Steve McQueen did but legitimate alternatives. One guy said to eat 20 pounds of Kale per week….yeah, per week. Not interested in that kind of stuff but I’m open to suggestions.
I don’t know about you guys but I seem to be surrounded by Angels. Now I’m hoping they are here to help me and not here to arrange a transfer (LOL). No really, if you look plus or minus at todays’ date You know who you are......and so do I.
There’s a guy that lives one street over from me that is bound to a wheel chair and has a tube coming out of his mouth. He’s in his mid to late 30’s I’m guessing. I see him motoring around the neighborhood, sometimes, dangerously……at night with little reflection, but anyway I have to go by and meet him…..See, I don’t even have to leave my own neighborhood to find someone that is in so much worse shape than me.
At least I have a fighting chance…..he appears to have none…….I hope that isn’t why he has so little reflective gear on his wheelchair.
I have to go see him.
Thank you all for the Spiritual Energy and Prayers, it helps more than any of the drugs...Bob
I've heard a saying, "Angels Gather Here". They certainly gather around you.
