Back From The Abyss? More like Back From The Mall!.......I hope you read my last e-mail because the news was good! My PSA dropped 27 points and other than the normal discomforts, the usual, I’m doing OK. It’s funny, in my previous life if I woke up feeling like I do on my best day now, I would probably call in sick…and so would you…..but everything is relative….I will never have the life I had…but I think I could live with the one I have…I just want it to work …more than once! I’ll know more on treatment day…this Tuesday…comes around fast doesn’t it?......You should feel it from in Here!
A very dear friend of mine, that is also fighting the beast and reads this Blog so she knows who she is, and I were talking about the fact that when you’re a proven survivor…you’re treated differently in the Doc’s office and the chemo room.…you’re treated better. The nurses all know what you’ve been through…..and they’ve seen the cycle before. I guess each one is different...she certainly has been.…I’m told that I am. I hold the record for the most Taxotere treatments in a row (the physician in Utah I was tied with, died.….Well that’s encouraging!).
I’m more and more convinced that the cure for cancer is some natural element….maybe even the cancer itself? The soldiers in our bloodstream that protect us, antibodies, don’t recognize cancer as a threat! They cruise on by and say “Hey cancer! How's the wife?...Hope to see ya at the bowling alley Friday!”…….They have no clue! Anyway, if it’s in my lifetime or not…..remember what I said.
I hope my posts haven’t been too negative lately; I’m in good spirits and looking forward to the holidays. Next week is important but not the conclusion……..So I’m Good!
I’ll update on, or the day after, Tuesday but I expect a good report and to be moving on!
