Is this for Real???

Never in a million years would I have thought the number of treatments would surpass single digits much less 20!!!!  The last 2 have not been the hard core chemo only the intrvaneous trial drug but that has it's own set of side effects.

My PSA rose 3 points to 32. The nurse shrugged and said “bout the same”. Then the Doc came in and said virtually the same thing only he used the word stabilized….and I’m thinkin’…….ITS GOING UP! DON’T YOU PEOPLE SEE THAT…IT’S GOING UP!!!! I guess I just need to accept stabilization by their definition….I just don’t like giving any ground!
Oh, and the scans were “Stabilized” as well.

Boy the old chemo room was rockin’ and rollin’ today! Not only was it packed (what a busine$$) but one of the patients at the other end of the room had some problems with his medication…I guess they get out of balance sometimes; anyway he needs to go to the hospital (not an emergency but had to go, so he could be stabilized).  Well of course an ambulance is expensive….so one of the surrounding family members….just called 911!....At least six firemen (with helmets) and medics came hustling on in to the treatment room, put him on a stretcher and took his ass away!! Ya know…..ya just have to know how to work the system.….paying for it anyway.

I had glimmers of taste over the weekend, I actually ate a hamburger that was very good to me, to most it would have been fantastic…….....One day at a time Grasshopper.
