Update # 24

I see the news as good: My PSA dropped 6 points! From 118 to 112. The Doc and I wished it were more but it didn’t’ go up as it has for the last few times and the doc said that as fast as it’s been moving that by the time the drug started working it might have been 130! 

As long as I can keep my mouth from getting those blisters and I now have the drugs to do that (see below)…then….I’m Good!

Have you ever heard the old country song “If it Weren’t for Bad Luck I’d Have No Luck at All”! The bad news…..On the body part front….late last Thursday afternoon my mouth was more normal than it’s been for a year! I had O.K. taste, I had no burning (no more watered down wine) and I was re-learning how to have an appetite!!!...........Friday afternoon…the back quarter of my upper bridge fell…….it didn’t fall out….it just fell...it was being held by ¼ inch of…well, I wasn’t sure exactly what it was being held by….but I was afraid to cut it (Bleeder!!!!)……there was no pain it was just a little awkward…..a one inch…metal and porcelain…mini-girder/I-Beam twisting around in the back of your mouth..…my dentist was in Dallas at a continuing education class.

The Good News. Despite the above…..and with some caution, I ate everything I could! I didn’t care if the damn thing fell out it was too big to swallow…I hoped (oooooooh). I ate things I haven’t been able or wanted to eat in at least a year…Pizza with Pepperoni, hot sauce in chili, a good burger, Bo Jangles chicken…...didn’t have to have a constant glass of water next to me………..Sunday afternoon I was standing in front of the medicine cabinet trying to take pictures for my dentist….and…it just fell OUT!!!

I then went on quite the eating binge and I’m proud to say I’ve gained 6 pounds…I’m at 169!

When I did get in to see the dentist on Monday she said I had a hole in my gum that went directly to my sinus….I knew it! I kept telling them…..that’s why I had so much trouble sucking through a straw…..it even whistles sometimes…very sexy! My Doc says it may heal on its own if not I may have to have it stitched up. But once again I knew it long before the pros did.

Hey! Has anyone paid actual cash for gas lately?? I was in buying something else and just said and put $20 of gas in number 3…….$20 goes in your tank in less than 4 seconds!!!!...if you blink you miss it! What are we going to do?

My next treatment date is April 26, I’m hoping for a much bigger drop in my PSA so Please keep the Spiritual Energy and Prayers Coming!!

I’ve got the beast on the run again….now watch my smoke!
