Live from the chemo room in beautiful downtown Charlotte!

The news keeps getting better! My PSA is now down to 95! A 42 point drop from last time. The Doc says the bone tumors are receding about 30% and all but in remission and all but one of the lymph nodes are near normal…I guess they are always somewhat enlarged because that is what they do! I asked HOW MANY MORE TIMES????? He said 3 to 5…..not what I wanted to hear but if it goes as well as last time and I truly can run this crap out of town…..I’ll do it. They said I’m not eating enough…knew that, don’t know what else to do….Put tubes down my mouth? I’m obviously in the chemo room again “Getting’ the Goods” I could send a picture but probably shouldn’t, privacy and all. There are about 25-30 Lazy Boys, each has it’s own TV and there is lots of junk food, cookies, peanuts, crackers and juice. We are on the 4th floor and have big windows all around so we have a great view of the city……great the first few times anyway . Today is kinda quiet not many people here…..Hmmmm, I hope that’s not a bad sign???? No!...it’s a good sign they are all cured! I don’t have any noisy neighbors to “comment” on, haven’t seen wolf boy in a while…..probably not good, he was in bad shape. I’ve been somewhat pleased with my hair loss…I guess…..the only thing that has fallen out was the black leaving just the gray or is it grey? Anyway, I guess I had more grey than I thought, it’s a lot thinner but not too bad. The hair thing is harder on the women but they can do awesome things with wigs these days…..I don’t see too many men in them but the ones I do look ridiculous….like they are wearing Davy Crockett hats…..and all bald is so in these days!! Another little side effect they don’t mention is what happens to your finger nails, talk about wolf boy! About 50% of each nail looks like a cuticle, an ugly yellowish cuticle, I don’t know how much I can cut off so I wait for them to get pretty long to make sure….the worst part is I have to use a spoon handle to open beer for fear of breaking one and the other day I had to get some girl in a bar to open one for me….how manly was that!!! When I’m in NADIR I have to use a knife to open yogurt because I’m too weak to pull the tab so I shouldn’t complain about the beer…don’t drink that much beer anyway. I’ve learned that wine does not go down well for about a week, burns my mouth…..everything burns my mouth…..”you need to eat more!!” they say…..everything burns and if you can imagine walking out in your yard, finding a pile of “doggy surprise” licking it and then trying to eat a sandwich…even peanut butter is yucky.
