Mid-term Update #18

Well it’s been 5 weeks ago this past Tuesday since I’ve had any chemo. I go in next Tuesday for the Clinical Trial Drug. The Trial does have side effects…appetite, fingers and of course the hoof and mouth. But not like the chemo…...no “hung-over flu” it seems to be getting better, it may even be the chemo…I hear it sticks around for several months.

Other than that I’m Good! I went to our company party a couple of nights ago which was meaningful to me because I missed that party last year due to my first NADIR. I was surrounded by very good friends and Angels……and so was everyone else there….they just may not have all been as conscious of it as I was.

I try, as much as possible, to look at this in an almost 3rd person perspective and I don’t want to always harp on this but…….I really do feel the flow of energy that comes from prayer groups and other sources of spiritual thought. I almost had to feel it to believe it.
I’m a little more Woo, Woo than a lot of you and not nearly as much as some of you that I know……...but this shit really works!

I know I still have a fight ahead and almost feel as if I'm in a stale mate but as I've said  before…I’m not in this to Tie…I’m in it to Win…and I will!

Hey it’s Christmas!  I must say this one is a lot happier and healthier for me than last year. Last year the Doc had told me that if I didn’t go on chemotherapy I only had about 6 months….Boy! Talk about words that will get your attention!!
Now it’s 12 months later and my PSA level has dropped from 374 to 26 as of 2 weeks ago, my scans show a 50% reduction in the tumors, I’m no longer on the chemo, and I feel relatively good! I can’t ask for much more than that!

Everyone PLEASE have a SAFE and Happy Holiday and thank you again for the Prayers and Spiritual Energy….Keep them coming! I’ll Update next Tuesday. B.

  1. God Bless you Bob! It sure is great to have you and your perspective around the office and as a friend. I hope this turns out to be the best Christmas ever. See you next week.
